Transnistria 2014 - New coin family in synthetic material

Next friday (august 22nd) the Transnistrian Republican Bank (PRB) will put into circulation coins made of composite materials of the following denominations: 1, 3, 5, 10 roubles.

Coins of the Transnistrian Republican Bank of composite materials are legal tender on the territory of Transnistria and circulate at par with other money of the Transnistrian Republican Bank; required for acceptance at face value for all kinds of payments by all organizations regardless of ownership and activities.



General characteristics of the coins:
-made of composite materials
-semitransparent
-have a firm, smooth surface
-do not bend, keep their shape
-emit a specific bone sound when tapped

Security features of the coins:
-contour and direct microtexts
-fiber, glowing blue when exposed to UV radiation
-graphics, glowing when exposed to UV radiation
-colorless elements, glowing when exposed to UV radiation
-elements that have a selective absorption in the infrared range

    Beginning a new era of coin composition !!! If it is successful to stand along with metal coin , then there is no surprise that every country would issue this type of coins
